The weekend is finally here! I’m sure you’ve all worked, thought, and/or celebrated hard this week(hopefully doing most of the latter). This week surely gave us reasons to be pleased—we received our fourth, free download from My Morning Jacket’s Terminal 5 shows, and we finally have a release date for Circuital! Clear your schedules and mark your calendars for May 31st. Listening party, anyone?
As was mentioned to me on The Countdown on Monday, “now the [countdown] can truly begin!” Indeed it can. We’ll be looking forward to celebrating the next 60 days counting down to the release date of Circuital. Be sure to check the tweets and celebrate with us!
This weekend (and the top of next week) we’ll finish up the last few tracks from 2008’s Evil Urges. Many of you may be asking: Hey Gabby, what's next for The Countdown?! Fortunately, My Morning Jacket’s catalog spans much wider than their five studio albums. So, starting on Wednesday of next week, we’ll start a new chapter: The LPs. So if any of you has a copy of 2000’s Heartbreakin Man, break it out!

Today, I’d like to acknowledge the last full-length track (let’s not count the 5 seconds of “Good Intentions”) off Evil Urges, track number 13, “Touch Me I’m Going To Scream Pt.2.” This “Touch Me Pt. 1” follow-up transitions seamlessly from “Smokin’ From Shootin’” and takes over a minute-and-a-half introducing us to this new, spacey groove and, of course, that lovely Suzuki Omnichord.
