Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Chicago Theater - 2007-09-29

This I am particularly excited about. It seems like every time I go to a show and get the recording it always sucks; shitty quality, shitty crowd, shitty everything. Not this time though, it is soundboard. I gave up on this show being posted but fuck me, this is a gift. This was definitely the best Ryan Adams show I have ever seen. Every time I have seen it has been good or great, never fucking amazing like this was.

A week prior I was in St. Louis with 3 buddies and my sister. Well as we were walking into the show I spotted Cardinals guitarist Neal Casal and I thought that was awesome (and it was) . Well, my buddy Scott grabs me after the show and we hit the Casino Queen (yes the Wilco Casino Queen). Meanwhile Tim, Matt and my sister are behind the venue hanging out with Ryan Adams for half an hour. I was almost sick right there on that fucking boat when I found out(the Casino Queen is a boat).

Back to Chicago though. Ryan was kind of in a questionable time. I love everything he does but some of the live jamming he was doing was not really exciting me too much. After this show I walked out, looked at Matt and told him that "I believe again." It was corny and a half joke but it really made me remember what an absolutely stunning musician he really is.

Was anybody in attendance?
