Thank you for this wonderful post! I have never seen them live but I've been on an MGMT high for a while now. I think they've come a long way for starting out as a "joke band" in a college dorm. I recommend downloading the Radio City live cd or any KCRW sessions. I love hearing The Handshake, Siberian Breaks and I Found A Whistle they're especially amazing live!
My pleasure! I love their KCRW stuff but have never taken then time to download it and then split up the tracks. Do you have them like that by chance? And the RCMH show is alright but with them I really don't think audience recordings do them justice.
