Yim Yames (Jim James) to Release George Harrison Covers EP

Yim Yames will be releasing an EP of George Harrison covers. The covers were recorded shortly after Harrison's death in 2001. I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this (just like EVERYONE out there), it's slated for download on July 7th with a proper release on August 4th.

Notice on the website how it says "Full length solo record coming soon." Man.

What if he tours?!?! Man that would be some righteous sh*t. Maybe I'll finally be able to sleep again, Jim's accident the eve of his solo Schuba's show still keeps me up at night. There is a "Shows" section to the Yim Yames website...

From the .com:

On July 7th, Yim will release a tribute to George Harrison that he recorded back in 2001. The EP will be available on yimyames.com as digital download and physical CD/LP. Until then you can stream and download “Behind That Locked Door” for free.

A portion of the proceeds from “Tribute To” will go to benefit the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.
