My Morning Jacket - The Okonokos Project

Keeping in vein of the ongoing My Morning Jacket craze, here is a very special treat. Croweyes1121 over at the MMJ forums put A LOT of hard work into this gem. It is The Okonokos Project, a collection of songs from the available Okonokos releases. From Croweyes1121 description on Demonoid:

"This is a complete re-imagining of the various available Okonokos releases by My Morning Jacket, all in lossless audio. I noticed that all of the different incarnations of the Okonokos album had different track listings and song orders, so I was curious to see if a more complete and accurate release could be achieved using the existing elements. Using the set lists from the two Fillmore concerts (the source for all Okonokos footage), I have re-ordered all tracks into the closest possible representation of the the actual performed song order. Various custom audience cross-fade edits were required to make this project one, seamless experience. Now, for the first time, all tracks from the Okonokos CD release, DVD release, and Acoustic Chorale bonus DVD are together in one place and in the closest approximation of their original order. To this end, order priority has been afforded to night one for songs shared by both performances. Songs unique to one performance or the other were added where they were performed in relation to the shared tracks."

Just got back from Louisville and possibly the best concert I have ever seen. Obviously I have a very strong MMJ bias but my God, these guys can do no wrong. Here is the set list and as SOON as I can get the show up I will.

I would like to add that Louisville is a great city and definitely worth the 5 hour drive. The pictures are shitty but I took them with my phone. The Makers Mark thing was cool, as soon as I snapped that shot some dude cruised over and covered up the "Evil Urges" with some duct tape.

Neil Young - Chrome Dreams 1977

Well there are a few versions of this album out there. It was originally supposed to be released in 1977 but Young deemed the album "too personal" and axed it at the last minute. Instead we got American Stars and Bars. A couple of the songs translate over but the majority were left for Neil Young obscurity land, which just so happens to be a very very big land. Anyways, Chrome Dreams Rust Edition and apparently 2 version that are called Chrome Dreams exist. This is one of the Chrome Dreams versions. This is a close track listing but only shows 12 songs, the version I have is 15. Well enjoy, Neil Young is a god.
